Position: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician III/Lead
Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years
- Work experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Associate degree or certification preferred
Job Requirements:
- Five (5) plus years of progressive work experience as a pharmaceutical/manufacturing technician
- Great communication in both verbal and written and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to perform basic math
- Extensive experience in performing quality control procedures and meeting production standards
- Working knowledge of computers and office software
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving techinques
- Must be flexible and adaptable in our fast paced/changing environment
- Have a strong sense of accountability and a safety approach
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in pharmaceutical processes (blending, granulation, milling, compression, coating etc)
- Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds
Core Responsibilities:
- At the direction of the supervisor and manager, Manufacturing Tech III is responsible for managing and providing direction for efficient set up / tear down, manufacture and cleaning of all equipment and processes associated with manufacturing operations for the production rooms
- Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures with an emphasis on regulatory related processes such as SOPs, cGMP and safety in compliance with the CFRs and meets the business needs of the organization
- Ensures that the manufacturing technicians are adhering to all AustinPx safety and identifying / communicating the necessary adjustments to address potential safety concerns
- Responsible for gathering key performance metrics and reporting them to supervisor /department manager, scientists, and engineers.
- Responsible for submitting work orders for processing rooms and equipment within core group
- Ensures 5S standards are met and maintained
- Ensure that the facility is kept “tour ready” at all times and people/material/flow/cleaning and zone concepts are maintained at all times
- Supports multiple shift operations if needed
- Oversees dispensing transactions in the CEA
- Supports customer requests as needed
- Drives reductions in unplanned deviations and focuses on troubleshooting identified equipment malfunctions
- Should have high ability to trouble shoot and repair, as well as manage the work order Submission / follow-up process to ensure timely completion
- Ensure communication / execution of quality system improvement ideas provided by team, and commit to maintaining effectiveness of quality system components relevant to process
- Works with other manufacturing technicians, warehouse, and supply chain to ensure proper timing and coordinate smooth hand offs between core groups to ensure goals are being met
- Supports and contributes to processing investigation/deviation analysis with cGMP Support
- Ensures proper documentation of all controlled documents and review and approval of steps performed by other technicians (Manufacturing Technician III must be able to sign performed by & verified / reviewed by steps)
- Leads and troubleshoots KinetiSol® processing
- All other duties as assigned; Techs (I & II).
